Anti-UV quartz glass is stronger than hard glass and highly resistant to vibration and temperature extremes, eliminating the risk of explosion. Philips quartz glass bulbs (2650°C filament and 800°C glass) are able to withstand very high thermal shocks. Due to their increased pressure tolerance, UV-blocking quartz glass bulbs are able to produce a more powerful light beam.
